Dyeing Mohair Locks
Today I dyed about 30 pounds of washed Mohair from our flock of Angora Goats. It is really amazing how much fiber these pretty little creatures produce. We shear twice a year and each of our goats shear 6 pounds of fiber each shearing. That is 6 pounds of WASHED fiber. I couldn't believe that a single goat produces 12 pounds of fiber a year. That is more than a sheep!
